About Major League Pickleball (MLP)
Major League Pickleball (MLP) is the premier team league and the standard-bearer for the fastest-growing sport in the United States. MLP is committed to perpetuating the sport's larger role in society and permeating every facet of pickleball’s business, marketing, and community relations. With iconic team owners, a co-ed team format, an innovative draft, groundbreaking broadcast quality, MLP’s goal is to elevate and grow the sport in everything it does.
MLP is made up of 20 co-ed teams that compete for each season for the MLP Championship. The 2026 MLP schedule will feature 13 total events that will run Thursday-Sunday in MLP Team cities showcasing nine regular season events, a Mid-Season Tournament, and three rounds of the 2026 MLP Playoffs. All MLP teams will appear in five of nine regular season events where every team will play a total of 23 regular season matches over their five events.
The 2026 season will conclude with the MLP Playoffs that will take place over three separate weekends in three locations (Dallas, Newport Beach, New York City). The top twelve teams will qualify for the season-ending MLP Playoffs.
Regular Season Standings
- Each event will feature 11 total teams, split into one group of five (5) and one group of six (6) teams, playing round robin Thursday to Saturday with the top four teams in each group advancing to Sunday.
- Group standings will be determined by standings points earned during group play, with each match worth a total of three (3) points (regulation win = 3; DreamBreaker win = 2; DreamBreaker loss = 1; regulation loss = 0)
- The same seeded team in each group will play each other on Sunday (i.e.: Group A #1 vs. Group B #1, etc.), with event standings points on the line, based on Sunday match results
- In a nod to F1, event standings points for each event will be 25-18-15-12-10-8-6-4-1-1, based on final results (the winner of the #1 vs. #1 match will receive 25 event standings points with the loser earning 18 points, etc.)
If there is a tie between two or more teams with the same number of points, the tiebreaker will be net games from regular season matches.
Alongside professional team play, select 2026 MLP events will also feature Minor League Pickleball (MiLP) and Jr. MLP competitions—bringing high-energy amateur team play to the same stage as the pros.

The Brooklyn Pickleball Team Minor League rosters are a key part of the organization's mission to grow the sport of pickleball at every level while developing the next generation of future stars. Players who join the program gain access to elite coaching, competitive tournaments, fun exclusive events, and the chance to represent BKPT in the community. As part of a Major League Pickleball team-based program, Minor League players become part of a growing community built around competition, camaraderie, development, and a shared passion for growing the game.
