REGISTER TO TRYOUT FOR THE BROOKLYN PICKLEBALL TEAM DUPR 20 MINOR LEAGUE PICKLEBALL (MiLP) ROSTER
Major League Pickleball’s Premier Franchise, Brooklyn Pickleball Team, is seeking the best local male and female athletes to try out for the Brooklyn Pickleball Team MiLP DUPR 20 Roster (suggested DUPR rating between 4.7-6.0).
Unlike any other MiLP tryout, BKPT players Dekel Bar, Rachel Rohrabacher, Jackie Kawamoto, Pat Smith, and Hannah Blatt and Head Coach Kyle McKenzie will all be in attendance to evaluate and hand select the BKPT DUPR 20 Roster.
The Brooklyn Pickleball Team MiLP rosters are a vital part of the franchise’s mission to grow the sport of pickleball and develop future stars. Players selected for the teams will receive top-tier coaching, access to tournaments, and opportunities to represent BKPT at competitive events while enjoying the benefits of being part of an elite pickleball program.
BKPT aims to assemble the DUPR 20 Roster this summer so the roster can train together, represent BKPT in the community and at local tournaments, help build the Brooklyn Pickleball Team from ground up, and be ready to take home the title at MiLP Nationals that will take place in December.

Cost per player: $195
Tryout Structure:
- Players will check in upon arrival and be assigned a number
- Players will be assigned a court for each “station” and will play one game/situational game with each person assigned to their court
- Players will compete individually against members of the Brooklyn Pickleball Team in a variety of situational games/drills
- Players will submit the scores of each of their games/situational games which will serve as a guideline for the team selection process
Players will be evaluated by members of the Brooklyn Pickleball Team and coaching staff in the following ways:
- Kitchen play – Players will compete against each other by playing competitive games at the kitchen line. Players will be evaluated on their dinks, attacks, footwork, and hand speed.
- Baseline play – Players will compete against each other and will be evaluated on their drops, drives, transition play, and fourth ball proficiency in offense/defense style games.
- Competing against pros – Players will compete individually in a series of situational games against members of the Brooklyn Pickleball Team. Players will be evaluated on their shot selection, ability to handle pace, and attacks at the kitchen line.
- Live games – Players will have an opportunity to show all their skills as they compete against each other in live match play. Coaches will be observing and taking notes on players during the action!
